Chiropractic Care Featured at Anti-Aging Health Convention

Chiropractic was well represented at the 10th Annual International Congress on Anti-Aging and Biomedical Technologies at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The chiropractic part of this world-renowned program was organised by the International Chiropractors Association, (ICA). As documented in the December 13, 2002 publication of the Chiropractic News from the ICA , the International Congress on Anti-Aging and Biomedical Technologies, is the world's largest and most prestigious worldwide convention on anti-aging science.

The chiropractic part of the convention involved authoritative chiropractic presenters who spoke on the clinical use of chiropractic in the care of the maturing population. Dr. D.D. Humber, ICA President said, "This conference signifies a significant frontier for chiropractic because in a segment of the people awash with prescription drugs, as well as where one-half of the emergency room presentations by Medicare beneficiaries are related to those prescription drugs, awareness of and access to the benefits of chiropractic care becomes an urgent matter of public health."

The convention centered on a powerful professional awareness and education. The convention helped bring together a large number of health professionals to research the frontiers of prevention, health and healing. Dr. Humber additionally explained, ""This function offers the chiropractic profession with the chance to educate consumers, policy makers, and health care professionals alike on the value of chiropractic as a health care discipline that encourages wellness practices with their patients."
