Fruits and Vegetables Reduce Stroke Risk

October 6, 1999 Reuters News reports on a story inside the Journal of the American Medical Association over the advantages of vegetables and fruit. The research conducted at Harvard's School of Public Health studied the connection between fruit intake and the rate of stroke in over 75,000 women. Final results clearly showed a decline in stroke risk in those that had a rise in intake in the amount of servings of vegetables and fruit each day.
